A new wood for me.
Raisin Wood, Asian in origin, this very slow growth piece came to me from the Morris Arboretum in Philadelphia PA. Like most of my unusual wood.
Varied brown heartwood with a hint of red in it. Cream coloured sapwood. Bark looks like shagbark hickory. This specimen has very tight growth rings.
I may need to go get more.
Go make something.
